A few things I believe.
Incentives are everything.
You are capable of far more than you assume.
- Most of what holds us back is inherited assumption we never chose to question.
- Drop the assumptions and only physics is left to stop you.
The taboo against managing closely does more harm than the meddling it fears.
- Give exceptional people real authority, then trust their judgment.
- The aim is not to avoid every mistake. It is to reach a level of excellence no one else comes near.
- The occasional cost of that is a price worth paying.
Move fast. It compounds.
- Speed means touching reality more often, so you learn more in less time.
- Pace forces focus. At speed there is no room for what does not matter.
